GESTALT DER BEWEGUNG / FIGURE OF MOTION

Figure of Motion is a collection of essays by ten architects and industrial designers focusing on the different ways motion can be portrayed. We tried to incorporate motion into the book itself and did this by adding small flip book images inspired by Eadweard Muybridge, a pioneer of motion capturing, to the pages, a reflective edging and motion blur to the pictures. We also created a font especially for this project with 44 weights, one weight for every line, and wrote a script that changes the weights from heavy to thin to achieve a gradient look.
